A kitchen or bathroom renovation moves fast once it starts, and the plumbing has to be right before tiling and cabinetry go in. A bit of planning up front saves delays later.
Confirm fixture positions early. Once a builder has set out the room, moving a tap or drain point gets harder and more expensive. Lock in your tapware and appliance choices before the rough in starts.
Check your hot water capacity. A new bath or a second bathroom can change the demand on your hot water system, so it is worth confirming the existing unit can keep up.
Ask about access. Older South West homes, especially around Busselton and Dunsborough, can have plumbing runs that are harder to get to, which affects timing and cost.
Get your plumber and builder talking directly. Most of the hold-ups we see on renovations come down to timing, not the actual work, so we keep in step with your builder's schedule from the start.
If you are planning a renovation, get your plumber booked into the schedule early rather than once demolition has already started.
